For King and Country comes back: the Australian duo announced dates for the What Are We Waiting For? Tour Part II. The second leg will start in spring 2023 with the first performance in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The tour will cover several cities in the USA and Canada. Ticket sales for new concerts will begin tomorrow, November 4th, on the group’s official website, however, a pre-sale option is already available.
Besides concert tickets only, fans also can buy special packages that include an exclusive pre-show Q&A session or inside-the-stage premiere seats.
New victories and achievements
The group released “What Are We Waiting For?” in March of this year, and the album immediately gained huge success. This is the second record for for KING & COUNTRY that debuts on the Top-10 of the mainstream Billboard 200 chart. Moreover, “What Are We Waiting For?” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart.
The record also gave the duo an award at the 53rd Dove Awards in the category Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year. Music videos for the singles “Relate” and “What Are We Waiting For?” won in categories Short Form Music Video of the Year (Concept) and Long Form Video of the Year respectively.
Another single titled “For God Is With Us” received a K-LOVE Fan award this year as the Song of the Year. In his acceptance speech, Joel Smallbone said:
“We’re all faced with a lot: with what’s going on in Uvalde, with what’s going on in Eastern Europe. And I think the question we all continue to ask ourselves is the rightful question, ‘What do we do?’ And you want to sort of pick up arms, you want to become the activist, you want to shake your fists, you want to get out there. <…> But I want to quote the great late saint, Mother Teresa, as, maybe, the paramount priority of what we could do as we step forward as a family and as humanity. She said this simply, ‘If you want to change the world — go home, love your family.’”
