The director-and-producer brother team, Alex and Stephen Kendrick officially announced this upcoming cinematic endeavor. It is scheduled for a theatrical release in August 2024.
Furthermore, within the Kendrick Brothers company, their sibling, Shannon, holds the pivotal role of Director of Operations.

Alex Kendrick echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that becoming a disciple is akin to a forging process.
The duo further elaborated on the significance of the film’s distinctive title. They clarified that forges shape instruments and weapons through a process accomplished with heat and pressure.
Alex Kendrick aptly explained, “When you think about your walk with God, sometimes you feel like, ‘Man, I feel like I’m in a forge.’ But what happens to that process, if you honor the Lord and He walks with you, He makes you stronger and more fruitful in your life.”

The movie introduces fresh characters and themes while featuring three actors from War Room: T.C. Stallings, Karen Abercrombie, and Priscilla C. Shirer.
Aspen Kennedy takes on the protagonist role in this film as a newcomer to the scene.
Isaiah Wright, a 19-year-old engrossed in video games and basketball navigates the path to manhood in this compelling storyline.
The film depicts Isaiah confronting the ghosts of his past.
Alex Kendrick quoted Jesus by saying, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.”
In simpler terms, he clarified that this involves a more profound commitment to following Jesus. It’s not just acknowledging Him as the Son of God but actively living according to His teachings.
“You can’t be Jesus’ disciple in a lukewarm status,” he added.
