Last year, Tim Tebow, a former NFL player, recently spoke at the 2022 Passion Conference about God’s mission for him.
Initially gaining fame as the Christian quarterback for the University of Florida Gators, he soared in the sports world.
Throughout his career, he even famously displayed Bible verses on his eye black during games.
Moreover, Tebow conveyed that each of us has a God-given mission that is achievable and intended for God’s purpose.
Tebow said that he believes that our mission is to love the Lord and our neighbor.
“I hold the conviction that within each of us lies a unique micro-mission, meticulously designed by God for you,” he emphasized.
He went on to quote Ephesians 2:10 to better make this point. It says, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared before for us to walk in.”
He described a unique micro-purpose, intricately designed for each individual, exclusively tailored to them. Before birth, God crafted a masterpiece, a poem of purpose in Christ, tailored for good things for you to do.
“Your poem is just for you,” Tebow said. “It’s only for you. There is something so unique and special that is just for you. In Christ Jesus, you’re a masterpiece.”
“God’s love is best displayed with Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf”
Tebow champions faith, hope, and love through Christian ministries, missions, and philanthropy, impacting lives.
Initially, the founder of the Tebow Foundation shared that he realized his mission during a trip to the Philippines.
Since 2010, Tebow’s Foundation aided those in need in 86+ countries, bringing light to the hurting and marginalized.
Furthermore, the foundation helps in providing critical physical support through ministry operations and services.
The foundation strives to share the Gospel widely, empowering vulnerable individuals to recognize their value as God’s children.
“The Church is not a museum for good people; it’s a hospital for the broken,” The sportsman explained.
He went on to elaborate on how broken he was and in need of saving.
“Jesus came through,” Tebow added. “When you understand the gravity of what you’re saved from, you also understand the depth of the love of God for you.”
In the Philippines, he encountered a boy born with both feet backward, stigmatized by his village due to his disability.
The celebrated NFL player stated, “God opened my eyes and touched my heart, and I believe on that day, God gave me a micro-mission to fight for every little boy and girl around the world like him, to fight for every single person that the world has looked past, to fight for every single person that other people say, ‘They don’t matter.’ Because to God, everyone matters.”
Moreover, Tebow believes that in life, amidst significant challenges, individuals frequently question not God’s power but His love.
Tebow concluded by encouraging the audience to spread the Gospel among their loved ones and embrace Jesus as their savior.
