In a recent interview with CBN News, Cobble shared, “I fell in love with God through his words.”
She added, “Something that I always knew and admired and respected and knew was true, I then fell in love with.”
Cobble’s initial encounter with reading the Bible in its entirety didn’t spark an immediate passion.
Yet, a wise pastor encouraged her to give it another try. This time, he emphasized seeking the character and person of God over personal takeaways and applications.
She explained further, stating, “I was looking for the character and the person of God instead of my to-do list, my takeaway, my action step, my application points. The Bible isn’t about me. It’s about God. It’s about who He is.”
